Thanks Christen! I will make sure I get something up on Kiva. I have passively avoided it only because everyone is already acutely aware of them. I have used Kiva in the past and should write about it in some detail. Great to hear from you!

This is all part of the viral marketing wave that most companies are using now to reach audiences that download shows without commercials, or have PVRs and fast-forward through them.

Speaking of which, do you know that you can get a lot of free stuff for having a blog? As long as you plug it ever now and then.

How inspiring Randy Pausch is! If you liked "The Last Lecture", another fantastic memoir I just read and highly recommend is "My Stroke of Insight" by Dr. Jill Bolte Taylor. Her TEDTalk video (ted.com) has been seen as many times as The Last Lecture I think, and Oprah did 4 shows on her book, so there are a lot of similarities. In My Stroke of Insight, there's a happy ending though. It's an incredible story! I hear they're making it into a movie.

11th Hour does an admirable job tracing our environmental woes back to our individual habits; the "Nature's Instructions" extra feature was especially interesting... there is some amazing technology built into nature

Hey Jason, conference was outstanding. When I get a bit more time I will be posting lots about it. Might see some really interesting things come from it.

Anyhow, what do I do to get this logo up?

Neat coincidence, I'll be heading down to New Orleans later this week for a nonprofit technology conference. Hope you have a great time there!

Btw, if you need any help figuring out how to get the image up, I'd be more than happy to help. :)

hi corey, i am keen to follow the debate around Paul Rusesabagina. He is indeed a polarising figure. I have followed his speaking tour as part of my doctoral dissertation research. I think his remarks on the context in post-genocide Rwanda are grounded, reflective and overall accurate. I also think that Rwanda continues to be a battle-field of ideological warfare, and despite the erasure of ethnic identities, there is still very much a Hutu narrative and history and a Tutsi one. In the new order, the Twa are silenced (again!).

looking forward to more posts on the subject. thanks, susan
